SUSTAINABILITY

Ecological Impact

Sustainability is a fundamental part of our business

As sustainability is a fundamental part of our business, we make every effort to ensure our production process complies with the following principles:

     • To use as much as possible inferior biomass waste streams such as branches, tops and limps.
     • To significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions along the entire supply chain
     • To contribute to local prosperity in the area of supply chain management and  biomass production
     • To contribute to the social well-being of employees and the local population in the producing area

Minimize ecological footprint
It is one of the key goals of Futerra Fuels to minimize the ecological footprint of the black pellets production process by looking at all phases of the production chain, from the removal of forest residues to the biomass treatment process and transport to the end user location. Futerra’s engineering team designed the production plant in such way that it will be the most efficient production plant of biocoal worldwide.
